Well, that was fun. I wanted to get my SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer working under Debian. Which of course required that I build a more recent kernel. And then, of course, it still isn't supported in the basic emu10k1 driver, so I had to get ALSA. But, of course, the existing Debian package is only 0.9.0rc1, which doesn't have Audigy support, either. So I got to build 0.9.0rc2 from source.

Which isn't really all that impressive, but it's been a while since I actually had to build something from source. Especially a device driver. But it works now, so I'm happy.

Breakfast: Cocoa Pebbles.
Lunch: Embassy Suites' pasta buffet (With my fellow team members, and the corporate Director of Marketing, and the Marketing Communications person, who were out visiting the client. It actually wasn't as painful as it sounds).
Dinner: Domino's (I was too lazy to go out for dinner).
